What We Do

Equipment Drives

If you’re a soccer family, you probably know the drill. You buy a pair of cleats. Six months later, they don’t fit. You buy another soccer ball even though there are already four somewhere in the garage. Uniforms change. Teams change. Kids grow. And somehow, every soccer season ends with a little more equipment than the season before. Most of that gear still has plenty of life left in it.

We want it.
Stella’s Soccer Stars organizes and supports equipment drives that make it easy for the soccer community—and the broader community—to give that equipment another game.

Drives can be organized through:

  • Soccer Clubs and academics
  • Schools
  • Youth Teams
  • Leagues and tournaments
  • Businesses
  • Professional Organizations
  • Community Groups
  • Individual Families and players

An equipment drive doesn’t need to be complicated. It can be a collection bin at the end of a soccer season. A team challenge. A school project. A tournament collection weekend. An office drive. Or simply a family cleaning out the garage and deciding that perfectly good soccer equipment deserves a better destination than the trash. We can help with the process, from identifying what to collect to helping organize and promote the drive.

You collect it. We’ll help get it back in the game.

HOST AN EQUIPMENT DRIVE

Gear is only useful
if we can get it where it’s needed.

Collecting equipment is the first step. The important part is what happens next. Stella’s Soccer Stars works to identify teams, coaches, schools, nonprofit organizations, and communities where donated equipment can immediately help more people play soccer. Depending on the needs of a particular team or community, that might include:

  • Cleats
  • Soccer Balls
  • Jersey’s
  • Shorts
  • Socks
  • Shin Guards
  • Goalkeeper Gloves
  • Goals
  • Cones
  • Training
  • Bibs
  • Ball Bags
  • Coaching & Training Equipment

EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTION

Our goal isn’t simply to collect as much equipment as possible. Our goal is to put the right equipment in the right hands. That means understanding what a community actually needs before we send it. A youth program that needs 50 soccer balls doesn’t necessarily need 100 pairs of adult cleats. A team looking for uniforms may already have plenty of training equipment. We want to listen first, understand the need, and then make the best match we can.

Because success isn’t measured by how much gear we collect.

It’s measured by how much of it gets back onto a field.

Community Partnerships

Our community partners help us identify players and programs that can genuinely benefit from donated equipment. They can help us understand what is needed, coordinate distribution, and make sure the gear ultimately reaches the people it was intended to help. And our partnerships aren’t limited to the receiving side. We also want to work with soccer clubs, sporting-goods companies, businesses, airlines, transportation companies, tournaments, professional teams, and other organizations that can contribute equipment, transportation, financial support, or simply help spread the word.

Over time, that’s how we believe Stella’s Soccer Stars can make a much bigger impact. Not by building a giant warehouse full of used soccer equipment. By building a network of people who can help move equipment from where it isn’t needed to where it is.

For Matthew, the organization is about much more than soccer. It is about a father and daughter working together to give young athletes an opportunity, strengthen their community, and help kids discover just how much they are capable of achieving.
